Tie your shoelaces and you're ready to go. Members of the running crew KUTR (Korea University Tigers Run) don't run alone, but feel each other's heartbeats as they run. That's how they can run all the way to the end without giving up. Every Thursday and weekend there's a ‘regular run', with ‘flash runs' held frequently on weekdays and during exam periods. Jeongneung Stream and Jungnang Stream are the main haunts of KUTR, a club where even beginners can run without a care. If you happen to run into KUTR members at a marathon, call out their bib numbers and cheer them on.

Tips for beginners afraid of running

1. Don't be afraid to stop

It's natural for running to be hard if you've never done it before. Even if you walk in the middle of a run, try to cover the distance you originally aimed for. - Kim Gun-uk (Department of Mathematics Education '19)

2. Wear whatever clothes you like, but wear the best shoes

주You can get injured easily as a beginner when your running form is unstable.- Kim Mi-ju (Department of Korean History '19)

3. Run where there are a lot of people and eat something tasty afterwards

You need to make it fun in order to feel "I want to run".- Choi Woo-seok (Department of Mathematics '18)

4. Rather than intense training every day, try filling the time with jogging

The important thing is to keep at it consistently.- Park Woo-hyung (Department of Business Administration '17)
