    2000. 6. 1.
    The Department of Biology within College of Science merges with the Division of Life Sciences and becomes the Department of Life Sciences within the Division of Life Sciences. The School of Natural Resources is renamed the School of Life Sciences and Biotechnology and changes department classification to the Division of Life Sciences and Biotechnology within the School of Life Sciences and Biotechnology and adds the Division of Genetic Engineering, Division of Life and Industrial Science, Division of Food Science, and Division of Environmental Science and Ecological Engineering.
    The Department of Industrial Engineering is renamed the Department of Industrial Systems and Information Engineering.
