KU Ranks No. 1 Among Private Universities in Korea Ranks 16th Among Asian Universities, Climbing Up 3 Places
According to the ‘2016 QS University Rankings: Asia’ released on June 14 by QS (Quacquarelli Symonds), one of the three most influential university rankings in the world, Korea University (KU) is ranked 16th among Asian universities and No. 1 among private universities in Korea.
Compared to last year, KU climbed three places in the overall rankings and moved up two spots to the No. 1 private university in Korea, in contrast with other major Korean universities whose rankings either dropped or remained stagnant
One of 517 universities in 17 countries, including Korea, China, Japan, Singapore and Hong Kong, that were assessed and ranked based on 10 distinctive indicators, KU showed a dramatic rise in categories pertaining to citations per paper (8 places higher than the last year), faculty/student ratio (8 places higher), and proportion of international faculty (7 places higher).
